Apress Parent Company Springer Nature Releases Several Textbooks for Free in Light of COVID-19

Announcement

April 17th, 2020

Springer Nature, the parent company of Apress, is making key textbooks freely accessible for educators, students, and academics affected by the COVID-19 lockdown. These books will be available via SpringerLink at no cost until at least the end of July.

“We want to support lecturers, teachers and students during this challenging period and hope that this initiative, which will see over 500 key textbooks available for free online, will go some way to help,” says Managing Director of Books, Niels Peter Thomas.

These essential textbooks cover all subject areas and disciplines. Education stands at a pivotal moment amid this crisis, and we at Apress are proud to be part of this impressive initiative. More people than ever are working from home, teaching from home, and learning from home, and it is crucial that educational content be made available in non-traditional ways.

More information and a list of all books included can be found here. Springer Nature is also committed to supporting the global response to COVID-19 by enabling fast and free access to the latest available research, evidence, and data surrounding the topic. All new information will be added to this webpage on a regular basis. Stay informed and stay safe.
