The Springer book series, Caregiving: Research, Practice, Policy, is unparalleled in the literature and offers a new way to disseminate caregiving knowledge. The primary purpose of each book in the series is to answer two related questions – “What is known?” and “What is needed?” – in caregiving. The chapters of each book are organized by this theme. To answer these questions, each book addresses the current status and future directions of a specific topic in four areas: research; education and training; policy and advocacy; and practice. This unique framework is not found in any existing caregiving publication and allows for an invaluable user-accessible comparison to be made within and across all books in the series.
