About this book

Developing Christian Servant Leadership provides a Christian faith-based perspective on servant leader character development in the workplace and argues that leadership requires passionate and authentic biblical integration.

Reviews

"Developing Christian Servant Leadership has succeeded where others fail: it embodies the truth that leadership is not a series of 'do's and don'ts.' For in today's performance-driven business mentality, only godly followers can truly lead; and only humble leaders are willing and able to do so. This is a must read for any business, non-profit, or faith-based executive who desires to rise above the mundane world of performance-based leadership, and embrace God's greatest gift: a humble spirit of servant-based follower and leader." Stephen M. King, PhD, Professor, Political Science, Taylor University, USA

"Roberts offers a much needed challenge to the current destructive approaches to leadership many of us practice and experience. Informed by biblical principles, workplace wisdom, and forged by the heat of decades of research, this practical book charts another course - servant leadership. Roberts inspires us to see the effective leader as neither martyr nor self-seeking, but achieving mission success and workforce discipline. Wherever our leadership is expressed - in the home, the workplace, or in a non-profit - the application questions studded throughout focus and earth the principles for us." Graham H. Twelftree, Christianity School of Divinity, Regent University, USA

"Roberts is a meticulous researcher and a devoted follower of Christ. He integrates those attributes well in this latest work, culminating in a deep but practical look at servant leadership in the modern workplace." - Michael Zigarelli, PhD, Professor, Leadership and Strategy, Messiah College, USA
