Dieses Lehrbuch ist eine leicht zugängliche Einführung in die moderne Theorie betrieblicher Produktion. In einem einheitlichen Rahmen behandelt es sowohl wesentliche Modelle und Aussagen der traditionellen Produktions- und Kostentheorie als auch grundlegende Aspekte des praktischen Produktionsmanagements. Der verwendete Ansatz kann als systemprozeß- und erfolgsorientiert gekennzeichnet werden, wobei Gesichtspunkte des Umweltschutzes organisch integriert sind. Das neue Konzept der Input/Output-Graphen führt zu einer konstruktiven Ausrichtung der Theorie und fördert zudem das Verständnis komplexer, vernetzter Produktionsstrukturen.
