About the editors

Dr. Chao-Tung Yang is Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at Tunghai University in Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from National Chiao Tung University in July 1996. In August 2001, he joined the Faculty of the Department of Computer Science at Tunghai University. He is serving in a number of journal editorial boards, including Future Generation Computer Systems, International Journal of Communication Systems, KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems, and Journal of Cloud Computing. He has published more than 300 papers in journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. His present research interests are in cloud computing, big data, parallel computing, and deep learning. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society and ACM.

Dr. Yan Pei was born in Shenyang, China. He obtained Doctor of Engineering at Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan. He received the B.E. and M.E. degrees from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China. He wasa Software Engineer and Software Project Manager in Chinese and German IT industries for several years before entering academic society. He is currently working at the University of Aizu as an Associate Professor. His research interests include evolutionary computation, machine learning, and software engineering. He serves as chair and organization committee member in many international conferences sponsored by IEEE, ACM, and other international associations. He is also serving as editor in many international journals. He is a member of IEEE SMC, IEEE CIS, and Japanese Society for Evolutionary Computation.

Dr. Jia-Wei Chang is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taichung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, ROC. Since January 2019, he is a Young Professionals Chair of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) – Taipei Network. During February to July 2018, he was an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Science at National Cheng Kung University. He was a Data Scientist and Project Manager at IoT BU, Nexcom, during 2016–2017. He received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Engineering Science, National Cheng Kung University, in 2017. His research interests include natural language processing, Internet of things, artificial intelligence, data mining, and e-learning technologies.
